PulteGroup Ranked #84 on 2023 Best Workplaces for Women™ List
Great Place To Work® and Fortune® recognize company for fourth consecutive year
PulteGroup, Inc. (NYSE: PHM) was named one of the nation’s Best Workplaces for Women™ for the fourth straight year by Great Place To Work® and Fortune®, the company announced today. PulteGroup, one of the country’s largest homebuilders, earned the #84 spot on the 2023 list.
“PulteGroup is honored to be a place where women can build rewarding careers while breaking barriers in what has traditionally been a male-dominated industry. We are proud to see their vital contributions to our company recognized once again on the Best Workplaces for Women list,” said PulteGroup Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer Kevin Henry. “Our people are the driving force behind our success as a company, and we are committed to making sure our employees feel valued, included and are provided resources and opportunities to grow and thrive.”
Women have consistently represented more than 40% of the Company’s workforce and at least 30% of leaders (front-line supervisors to C-level and Executives) since 2018. PulteGroup also recently launched its Women’s Interest Network (WIN), a company-wide business resource group (BRG) to help cultivate connections and career development opportunities among female employees.
To determine the Best Workplaces for Women, Great Place To Work analyzed the survey responses of over 600,000 women who work for Great Place To Work Certified™ companies that were eligible for the list. Honorees were selected based on their ability to offer positive outcomes for women regardless of job role, race, sexual orientation, work status, or other demographic identifiers. Great Place To Work analyzed the gender balance of each workplace compared with Bureau of Labor Statistics industry data.
“In a challenging market, companies can’t afford to leave workers on the sidelines,” says Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place To Work. “When women feel empowered to be full participants in the workplace, productivity and profit grows, insulating the organization from external pressure. We celebrate these companies who are committed to closing the gender gap, developing the next generation of women leaders to solve the complex problems we all face.”
“Fortune congratulates the companies that made the cut for the Best Workplaces for Women,” says Fortune® Editor-in-Chief Alyson Shontell. “Based on survey responses of so many women nationwide, these companies clearly demonstrate they have created workplaces where women are consistently valued, supported, and encouraged to do their best work.”
This recognition is one of several workplace accolades that the company has recently received. In 2023, PulteGroup ranked #36 among the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® and #50 on the Fortune Best Workplaces for Millennials™ list.
