Notes of Love for Staff Sgt Tomee Phetsisouk in Illinois
At our latest Notes of Love event, Army Staff Sgt. Tomee Phetsisouk and his family stepped into the framed walls of what will soon be their mortgage-free home. But instead of bare studs, they were welcomed by thousands of handwritten messages with words of gratitude, encouragement, and heartfelt welcome from PulteGroup employees, community members, trade partners, and more.
Each note was a tribute to Tomee’s service and a warm embrace for the new beginning ahead.
As the family moved from room to room, they paused to read the messages. Each one a reminder that their sacrifices have not gone unnoticed. Some shared personal thanks, others offered blessings for the years to come, and many simply said, “Welcome home.” The day was filled with emotion, smiles, tears, and an overwhelming sense of support.
This tradition is about more than building houses. It’s about filling them with love from the very start. Before the drywall goes up, these walls hold the sentiments of a grateful community, ensuring that even after the ink fades, the love remains.
