The Pulte Zero Net Energy Home prototype is located in the Pulte community of Botanica in Brentwood, CA, about 55 miles east of San Francisco. The neighborhood is centrally located near schools, parks, recreational amenities, abundant retail and dining.

The 2,359 square foot, two-level prototype home includes 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths with consumer inspired designs throughout designed for the way families truly use and live in their home. The base price of homes in Botanica range from the high $400s to low $600s and span from 2,343 to 3,590 sqft.
While the prototype home is a part of the 297-unit Botanica by Pulte Homes community, it will be the only home in the neighborhood to offer the included package of enhanced performance standards being tested as part of the program. While the other homes in the Pulte community already include a variety of energy efficient offerings, the prototype is unique in seeking conformance to current zero net energy standards.
Pulte continues to remain consumer-inspired and will be seeking continuous design improvements to meet consumer’s needs. The energy performance of the prototype home will be tracked for a year after it is sold, and overall energy performance and consumption will be evaluated. Obtaining meaningful feedback from the prototype homeowner is key to the process of building and designing future consumer-inspired ZNE homes.
