TAMPA, FLA., Oct. 17, 2019 – PulteGroup’s West Florida Division held its fourth annual Building to Make Lives Better Charity Golf Tournament and raised a record-setting $151,211 in support of the Children’s Home Network. Since partnering in 2016, PulteGroup and its trade partners have raised over $430,000 to benefit the organization.
“The Pulte Promise Center is much more than just an educational center,” said Sean Strickler, President of Pulte’s West Florida division. “We are grateful to have the ability to help at-risk children rebuild trust with adults, recognize and develop their individual talents and reframe their vision for future success.”
Children’s Home Network began in 1892 when founder Carrie Hammerly began aiding orphaned and abandoned children in Tampa. Hammerly sparked an organization on a mission to unlock the potential of at-risk children and families by providing compassionate and effective services that create opportunities for everyone to succeed.
“Since our inception, the focus has been on the children and their families,” said Irene Rickus, CEO of Children’s Home Network. “We are incredibly grateful that the Pulte team understands and shares our vision and does so much to help move our cause forward.”
Today, the Children’s Home Network serves nearly 25,000 children and adults each year with values that focus on respect, dignity, trust and compassion. They strive to become the leader in innovative programs and services in the field of child and family well-being, and as an exemplary model for the governance, management and operation of nonprofit entities.
