ATLANTA, Oct. 24, 2018 – PulteGroup, Inc. (NYSE: PHM) announced today that Will Coles has been promoted to division president of the company’s Tennessee operations. A Nashville native and 8-year veteran of PulteGroup, Coles now has full operational and financial responsibility for the company’s homebuilding activities in the Greater Nashville area.
Coles most recently served as Vice President of Operations for Tennessee, having been promoted to that position in 2017, with direct responsibility for all of PulteGroup’s local homebuilding operations. In that role he developed a new strategic plan to direct future division growth, implementing a complete restructuring of market operations to optimally position PulteGroup in the expanding Nashville market. Under his leadership, the division achieved the distinction of “Best Places to Work” by the Nashville Business Journal and The Tennessean. Coles’ previous positions include Vice President of Land Acquisition for the company’s Tennessee and Charlotte divisions, and Director of Land Acquisition for the Charlotte Division. Coles began his homebuilding career in Charlotte in 1999.
“As a Nashville native, I appreciate the need for thoughtful growth and development that can meet the need for quality homes for buyers at all life stages,” said Coles. “I’m also focused on making our division the employer of choice in the Nashville market because when we take care of our employees, they take care of our customers and are dedicated to providing an outstanding homebuying experience.”
Operating through its Centex, Pulte Homes and Del Webb brands, the Nashville market is a growing one for PulteGroup, with buyers closing on 270 new homes in 2017. Anchored by its highly successful Del Webb Southern Springs community in Spring Hill, the company currently has 12 communities actively selling in the region and is on track to grow its operations by more than 40 percent in 2018. The division is seeking new opportunities for increased investment across the region.
Coles earned his B.A. in Business Administration from Furman University.
