Salute to Service: In Honor of Military Appreciation Month
TAMPA, Florida - May 2016 - While working for PulteGroup for more than a decade, David Wong also served the United States Armed Forces. As an Air Force crew chief, he flew C-130s and was responsible for ensuring the aircraft was mechanically safe for operation.

“I’ve found a great sense of appreciation for PulteGroup and the people that I work with. When I was gone for nearly a year on military leave, I never felt worried because PulteGroup stepped in to ensure that my family life would continue,” said Wong, an information systems engineer for PulteGroup’s West Florida Division in Tampa. “PulteGroup ensured our family and financial life were not impacted while I was gone, and the HR team was fantastic in communicating with my wife.”
Wong said he gained vast knowledge and experience while serving in the military, and takes pride in his job with PulteGroup every day. Working for a homebuilder inspired him to also volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, helping others in building their dream home.
“Nothing has affected me more than knowing the tremendous support that PulteGroup has for America’s military community,” Wong says. “More impressive is the company's commitment to veterans and wounded veterans with its Built to Honor program. I am a proud Pulte employee and treat this company as if it was my family and not just a job.”
