Millennials Snatching Up New Townhomes at Two New Pulte Homes Communities

CHARLOTTE, February 12, 2018 – Millennial homebuyers in Charlotte are not sitting on the sidelines, but are eagerly purchasing new homes. Just a few weeks ago, Pulte Homes began pre-selling at two new communities in the hot new area of the South Boulevard Corridor with its South Village community now 50 percent sold out.

South Village is a 58-unit townhome community located at the Scaleybark Station Light Rail stop in the residential portion of the South Village transit-oriented development. Additionally, Pulte Homes began pre-selling the Belton community in the South End on South Boulevard and Greystone Road, it’s a 61-homesite community, featuring new home designs called Duets.

“Millennials are loving these two infill locations,” says Jon Cherry, division president of PulteGroup in Charlotte, which builds under the Pulte Homes, Centex and Del Webb brands in Charlotte. “Millennials want the everyday conveniences and walkability to entertainment, dining, and transit.

“With new housing options very limited in these locations, and even rental options scarce, we expect great success from these two communities and encourage buyers to take a look today as these homes will go quickly, with South Village likely sold out by early 2018.”

South Village, which is now moving forward on the second phase, starts at $394,990 with 3 or 4 story townhomes offering 1,773 sq. ft. of space with 3 bedrooms, 2-car ground floor tandem garages, and options for terraces and four bedrooms.

The Duets, or duplexes at Belton will consist of just two units so all homes will be an end unit with additional natural light. The approximately 2,700-square-foot homes will feature 3-4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths and a 2-car front-entry garage. Additionally, a fourth floor is also available to include a flex room that can serve as a bedroom, a bathroom, storage and/or rooftop terrace. Pricing is expected to start at $435,000.
