Golf Tournament at Avila Golf & Country Club Expected to Raise $50,000 Toward The Children’s Home

TAMPA, Fla. -- The first annual Tampa Building to Make Lives Better Golf Tournament hosted by PulteGroup's West Florida Division on Oct. 3 at Avila Golf & Country Club is expected to raise over $50,000 to benefit The Children’s Home.

Sean Strickler, Division President of PulteGroup in West Florida, says tournament proceeds will help fund a remodeling project for the vocation center at The Children’s Home, as well as help fund the Home’s CARES program aimed at enhancing children’s education and physical wellbeing.

“All of us at PulteGroup are proud and excited to be part of this opportunity,” Strickler said. “The enormous effort on the part of generous donors and contributors to this project is moving, and the role our entire community plays in further assisting these children and their families in our area makes it even more special.”

At Avila Golf & Country Club, players in the Building To Make Lives Better Golf Tournament will be experiencing the beautiful, world-class course which was designed by one of the greatest professional golfers of all time, Jack Nicklaus. Players will also enjoy gift bags courtesy of multiple donors, a lavish breakfast and lunch, along with light refreshments and snacks throughout the day.
