12th Annual PulteGroup Classic Raises $50,000 for the Frankie Lemmon School and Development Center of Raleigh

RALEIGH, Nov. 25, 2019 – PulteGroup’s Raleigh division held its 12th annual PulteGroup Classic Golf Tournament and raised $50,000 for the Frankie Lemmon School and Development Center that provides education and support to children with special needs and their families. Since 2007, the PulteGroup Classic has raised more than $200,000 to benefit several local charities in the Raleigh-Durham area.

“Thanks to the support of our partners, sponsors and employees, we are extremely proud to have raised a record-setting amount at this year’s tournament for the Frankie Lemmon School and Development Center,” said PulteGroup Raleigh Division President David Carrier. “We are grateful to be able to support their mission of providing life-changing education to help children achieve their full potential.”

All of the proceeds from the 2019 PulteGroup Classic will benefit the Frankie Lemmon School and Development Center. The funds generated from the event will be used to furnish and equip a new classroom designed to host three-year-old children. This includes furniture and education materials, technology and adaptive feeding equipment, and six months of comprehensive speech, occupational and physical therapy for eight students. The classroom will open in January 2020 and will be dedicated to PulteGroup and its partners.

The Frankie Lemmon School and Development Center provides children with education and support that leads to successful participation in family and community life. For more than 53 years, the school has served children with special needs in Wake County, and in the past four years, the school has grown from serving 25 students to 87 children for the 2018-19 school year.
