Sweepstakes Winners Receive New Del Webb Home

David and Delia Lopez claim their $250,000 prize in Sun City Texas
GEORGETOWN, Texas, July 16, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- The winners of the Del Webb "Home and Away" sweepstakes closed on their home, valued at more than $219,000, in Georgetown, Texas today. As winners of the sweepstakes in which more than 24,000 people entered, David and Delia Lopez were entitled to receive up to $250,000 toward the purchase of a new Del Webb home.

The couple chose Sun City Texas for its location -- particularly for its proximity to their two children.

"We visited the location and love the Hill Country area. Also, our son lives in Austin and our daughter will be returning to college in Austin," the couple said.

David, a park superintendent for Lake Texana State Park will officially retire August 31, while Delia plans to continue working part-time as a billing assistant following the move. Although they received the keys to their new home on Wednesday, the pair will not make the move full-time until after David's retirement.

"We're thrilled that David and Delia chose Sun City Texas as their home," said Dominic Longi, division president for Pulte Homes' Austin division (Del Webb is a brand of Pulte Homes). "Between the fitness center, hundreds of clubs and interest groups, miles of walking trails, and the rest of the terrific offerings, I'm sure the Lopez's will be busy!"

Fifty-five-year-old Delia counts sewing, crafts and reading among her current hobbies, but is looking forward to daily walking and exercising following her move to Sun City Texas. Fifty-six-year-old David, too, looks forward to daily walks and exercising after moving but says his first activity at Sun City Texas will be swimming.

The Lopez's chose a 1,896 square foot home with three bedrooms, two baths and a study as their prize.
