ATLANTA, July 13, 2012 – Renovations started in earnest this week on the new two-story home addition for Aimee Copeland. The home addition is currently on schedule to be completed within 40 days, when Aimee returns home from rehabilitation, with framing of her new space to start on Friday, July 13.
National homebuilder Pulte Homes announced earlier this week that they are leading and coordinating the renovation efforts. Today, the company is announcing the team of trade partners who are contributing 100 percent of the total cost of completing Aimee’s almost 2,000-square-feet space.
The two-story space features a new bedroom, fitness room for rehabilitation, the new Pulte Planning Center – an open room with accessibility and views to Aimee’s main space, and will be her study area for her continued education in psychology, and an elevator to access other parts of the home, such as the kitchen.
The following trade companies who will help to complete the renovations include: 84 Lumber Company, Argos Concrete, Atlanta Glass and Mirror, Atlanta West Carpets, Blackstone Construction Group, Boise Cascade, Builder Specialties, Builders First Source, Cofer Brothers, Eric's Locks, Firm Foundations, Great Southern Wood Preserving, Greg Puga, Higginbotham Engineering and Design, Intown Design, James Hardie, K and C Services, LP Building Products, MasterBrand Cabinets, Murrells Waterproofing, Northwest Exterminating, Pace Geotechnical, Phoenix Landscape Group, Plainview Grading, Ponder and Ponder, Architects, ProBuild, Randall Lowe Plumbing, Reliance Heating and Air, Residential Elevators,
Rite-Way Foundations, Sherwin Williams, Silent P Construction, Southeastern Millworks, Structured Drywall, The Roof Depot, Tucker Door, Vulcan Concrete, Wilkins Electric, and Woodman Insulation.
“The response and willingness to help from our vendors, trade partners and employees has been overwhelming,” said Ryan Lewis, vice president of construction for Pulte Homes in Georgia. “Without each of their contributions, Aimee's Wing would not be possible. It really speaks to the heart of our industry, our community, and our company.”
