Pulte Brands Rank Highest in 13 Markets in Annual Survey
BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep. 15, 2009--
Pulte Homes brands received more top rankings than any other homebuilder
and have ranked highest in customer satisfaction in 13 U.S.
markets, as reported today in the results of the J.D. Power and
Associates® 2009 New-Home Builder Customer Satisfaction Studysm.
Pulte brands, which include Pulte Homes,
Del Webb
, Centex, Fox & Jacobs,
and DiVosta, were surveyed in 22 of the 24 markets covered in the 2009
study. Pulte Homes operations garnered 13 top rankings in customer
satisfaction, and were ranked No. 2 in three markets and No. 3 in
five markets.
In the J.D. Power and Associates® 2009 New-Home Builder Customer
Satisfaction Studysm, Pulte Homes operations ranked:
Highest in these 13 markets: Atlanta, Austin (tie), Charleston,
S.C. (Centex), Chicago, Inland Empire, Calif. (
Del Webb
), LA/Ventura
County/Bakersfield, Calif., Orlando, Philadelphia, Sacramento, San
Antonio, Tampa, Tucson, and Washington, D.C.
Second in these three markets: Jacksonville, Sacramento (
Del Webb
), and
San Francisco Bay Area.
Third in these five markets: Charlotte, N.C. (
Del Webb
), Denver, Las
Vegas (
Del Webb
), Sacramento (Centex), and Tampa (DiVosta).

For its 2009 New-Home Builder Customer Satisfaction Studysm,
J.D. Power and Associates® focused on individuals that purchased a new
single-family detached or attached home during 2008. Qualifying builders
in each market had to have a minimum of 150 home closings in the prior
year and a minimum of 50 returned questionnaires.
Pulte Homes does not operate in one market included in this year’s
survey — Columbus, OH—and did not meet the sample size requirement in
Orange County/San Diego.
