Pulte Homes Acquires 206 Lots in Jurupa Valley

Home Designs to Meet Needs of Multi-generational Families
JURUPA VALLEY, CA  January 8, 2015 - Pulte Homes has acquired 206 lots in Jurupa Valley and has already started construction on its new community that will open for sales in early 2016. Pulte’s Serrano Ranch community will feature modern consumer-inspired ranch and two-level floorplans that include separate living areas designed for multi-generational families.

The 61-acre site is ideally located to serve homebuyer demand generated by employment growth within Riverside County and from surrounding counties, said Chris Edgar, division president of PulteGroup’s Southern California Division.
“Jurupa Valley is an emerging market within Riverside County, and one of the most robust new home markets in Southern California,” Edgar said. “Since 2002, new home inventory has fallen in the adjacent Eastvale submarket, creating considerable pent-up homebuyer demand particularly among growing families and multi-generational families seeking homes in this area.”
The increasing demand among multi-generational families in Southern California is consistent with PulteGroup’s Home Index (PGHI) surveys that show that a growing number of adults  expect  their adult children or aging parents moving in at some point in the future. 
The community will offer spacious 7,000+ square foot lots, which Edgar said are in short supply and high demand among family buyers. To assist buyers in their search process, five fully furnished models will be available for viewing and are expected to open for sales in February 2016.
The community will also feature a five-acre public park that will include basketball court, tot lot, playground, ball field with bleachers and landscaped areas.  Residents will also enjoy a walking trail with benches along the path, as well as barbeque stations with picnic tables.
Edgar said Riverside County has historically led the Southern California region in new home sales volume for more than a decade, and the Company foresees continued demand and growth in the greater area.  Between 1999 and 2003, Riverside County’s share of new home sales in Southern California increased from 27 percent to 44 percent, he said. By 2005, more than one out of every two single-family detached new homes sold in Southern California occurred in Riverside County.
